Toolbars have been redesigned in this version some buttons have been added while some have been removed. The format of the icons are now 16×16 and 32×32 instead of 16×15 and 32×30 and supports true color and transparency
AutoCAD 2004 opens faster than 2002 version. Xrefs ( A command used for cross reference plans and objects to minimize repetitions and maximize consistency hence saving time and improving productivity) are loaded faster from network than 2002
Drawing windows has been maximized on start up in this version by default. Text styles and Dim styles are available via toolbar, alongwith access to text style and Dim style dialog boxes. New commands that have been added in this version are 3DCONFIF, JPGOUT, PNGOUT, REVCLOUD, SECURITYOPTIONS, SETIDDROPHANDLER, SIGVALIDATE, TIFOUT, TOOLPALETTES, TOOLPALETTESCLOSE, TRYSETTING, WIPEOUT and XOPEN.
